River Mist
Welcome! My Name is Scott Zimmerman, I would like to tell you about a special place of beauty and peace: River Mist on the Holston River in East Tennessee. River Mist is a fisherman's dream.
We love River Mist, my wife Mary and I have built our home here. The developer Bobby Bisby and his wife Iveta have also built their permanent home here at River Mist. As of the summer of 2015, we currently have seven families living here and there are currently three new homes in various stages of construction.
River Mist is a fisherman's and nature lover's paradise. The rivers are full of Trout, Small Mouth Bass and other East Tennessee regional fish. River Mist is located just a short distance downstream form a TRWA Hatchery which offers our owners a magnificent fishing experience. On the grounds wildlife is abundant along the river as well. "River Misters" frequently see deer, turkey, bald eagle, osprey, beaver and red fox along the river at one time or another.
Tennessee is a great place to live or retire. The cost of living is low, the climate is mild and the scenery is beautiful. River Mist is in close proximity to Knoxville, Morristown, Jefferson City, and the Sevierville/Gatlinburg area.

Although River Mist is a little off the beaten path, it is easily accessible from highway 11E in New Market, Tennessee. Schools, shopping and Jefferson Memorial Hospital are all easily accessible in Jefferson City which is only 15 minutes away. For those that like to visit the big city on occasion for restaurants, shopping, and culture Knoxville is an easy 25 minute drive along 11E. River Mist is a trout fisherman's dream come true. Imagine waking up retired and all you have to do is decide when you want to walk out your door and go fishing. River front lot owners may access the River from their back yards, but all lot owners have access to the trout waters of Holston River through the upper and lower accesses. The neighborhood is a peninsula and one can put in with a canoe, kayak or float tube at the upper access and float around the bend on the cool clear trout waters with a combination of shoals and slow water to the lower access for a take-out and a nice walk or drive back home. River Mist was developed in 2005 by Guardian Investments led by developer Robert (Bobby) Bisby. The team developed an exceptional scenic river front neighborhood with high end amenities including curbed streets, underground utilities, street lights, two river accesses and a commons area with a walking trail and panoramic views.
